Mary-Lee Needham '25 Recruiting Profile

Volleyball is my passion.  I have worked hard over the years to improve my skills.  I have a great personal relationship with my high school coach.  I have been very fortunate to attend open gym with the high school teams for the past five summers.  I became interested in volleyball when I was eligible to play in 6th grade.  I have learned through playing sports that I am brave, I can look at something I have never done, slightly intimidating and at least attempt to do it.  Although sometimes I might be scared or nervous, as soon a I start playing that feeling goes away.  

As I navigate through high school I am working on keeping a 3.5 or higher GPA, also I will complete some classes that will be able to be transferred for college credit.  Overcoming the doubts of others who have doubted me and my abilities to make higher teams, has made me feel accomplished when I prove them wrong.
