Logan Ellner '21 Recruiting Profile

The most defining point in my athletic career had a big impact on not only my sports career, but also my life. Ever since I was a kid, my father always said you find out more about yourself and the people around you from failing, than you do succeeding. I never fully understood the meaning behind this until my first year of varsity football as a sophomore where we had a final record of 0-10.  It was at this time I learned how to become a leader, a teammate, and a young man. The lessons I learned from that season gave me skills and lessons I continue to apply in my everyday life.

                The outlook on sports and life this season gave me made me learn the value in being a part of a team, and playing for each other, with each other.  It is because of this I feel I can make a positive impact in your program with not only my athletic ability, but also my leadership skills and my ability to bring my teammates together.  After all, there is no “I” in team.
