Due to the fact that I attend a small school in Colorado, I am granted the opportunity to compete at multiple sports. My freshman year, I played baseball and football and was given Academic All-Conference as well as first team All-Conference in baseball. My sophomore year, I was given first team AlI-Conference awards in football as well. I truly believe that the best athletes play multiple sports. My freshman year, my school made it to state playoffs in both football and baseball. As a starting linebacker and second baseman on those teams, this experience fine tuned a winning attitude in myself and a drive to compete at any level. Whether it be in the classroom or on the field, I give every assignment or task my all. In college I plan to major in nursing while competing to the best of my abilities on the football field.
This past football season, I was given the opportunity to step up as a leader. From leading the defense on every snap as a Middle Linebacker, to leading offseason practices, as well as maintaining a high academic standard. I know what to do on and off the field to be prepared for every circumstance as well as make sure those around me are just as prepared also.
