Scoring a touchdown against my old teammates from youth football was the highlight of my high school career. However, I feel I grew the most as a student-athlete my freshman year when our team lost a coveted sword to a rival high school on Thanksgiving Day. That experience helped me grow as a person and led me to re-focus my own efforts on becoming a solid linebacker and running back capable of playing at the college level.
Our high school football program has struggled with three head coaches over the last three seasons. I learned through this experience that there are only two things in my control - attitude and effort. I approach everything I do with a positive attitude and 100% effort. Taking this approach helped me learn the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership regardless of outcome.
I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. As a three-sport varsity athlete and recognized leader in my school, I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team!
