My name is Harrison Girard, and I’ve been playing volleyball ever since I can remember. I started seriously training with my mom at 8 and have grown to love every aspect of the sport. I have played libero, setter, and outside hitter. Playing outside is where I really hit my stride. I love the position because of how versatile it is. Having to play on both the defensive and offensive sides of playing makes me feel like I am giving the most to my team. I started out playing libero/setter on a U16 team since I was 10, and just recently started playing outside because of my newfound height and strength.
I have participated in indoor NTDP starting at 9 and have earned Beach NTDP since I was 11. I made the NTDP U19 National Training Team at 16 in 2022. I've been coached by Olympic coaches, current and former Olympic players, Division I-III college coaches, and club coaches in both indoor and beach. I have attended college volleyball camps from coast to coast. Each time seeing college campuses, coaching styles and techniques, and meeting players from all over the United States. I am grateful for all the lessons they have given me in skill, mental strength, teamwork, character, and sportsmanship. The coaches, my teachers, and my parents have made me the person I am today.

I am a dedicated, hardworking, and coachable player. I love being able to implement every little coaching cue I can get to further my game every time I touch a ball. I am a great and supporting teammate as well. I strive to lift up my teammates when they are down and hope they build off of my positive energy on the court. I stay competitive in every drill, scrimmage, and game to keep my drive.
I have a 4.0 GPA at a nationally ranked college preparatory school, Brunswick School in Greenwich, CT.
My dream is to play at the collegiate level at a D1 university and possibly play in the Olympics one day. I really just want to reach my full potential and be the best person I can be, on and off the court.
I am looking for a school that will challenge me both athletically and academically. I prefer larger schools, and I am open to attending anywhere across the country. I am undecided on a major at this time.
