Personal Statement
After playing Travel soccer for many years, in 7th grade I was recruited by Coach Prince Ojok to play for CT Rush Southwest B02. Our team won division and league championships multiple times, aw well as several tournaments. I am now cross-rostered on the 2001 and 2002 teams at AC Connecticut.
At Ridgefield High School, I was a starter on the JV team as a Freshman and made the Varsity team as a Sophomore. I was a starter on Varsity as a Junior, and was chosen to be Captain for my senior year.
Under the coaching of Prince Ojok, Phil Bergen, Paul Winstanley and Tony Fernandes, I have worked hard to become a strong, well-rounded, consistent player in many positions: Center Mid, Outside Back and Winger. I get along well with my teammates and my coaches.
Academically, I strive to be a scholar-athlete, taking all Honors courses Freshman and Sophomore years, and AP and Honors courses my Junior year. I have made the Honor and High Honor Roll every quarter so far. My unweighted GPA is currently a 4.2
In addition to showing my passion for the game on the field, I volunteer as a coach for a Soccer Club of Ridgefield’s fourth-grade House team and as a friend/mentor in its Holland Soccer program, which enables special-needs children and teens to play soccer in a non-competitive environment. I have really enjoyed both of these experiences and am happy that I can share my love of the game with others.
