I am a HS Senior looking for a place to play college football. I believe my potential for success in football is great because I am a very good wide receiver and safety even though I have only been playing a few years. I have always been a basketball player and usually have had to play out of position because I can jump so high. My vertical jump hasn't been measured, but I can dunk with ease (I even included a sample at the end of my Hudl football highlights). My hands are huge and I can catch anything thrown my way and I have very good speed. I'm a physical wide receiver who doesn't mind blocking on running plays and because of my basketball skills I run very good routes.
Although I like playing wide receiver, I'm willing to play wherever I can help the team. I know it's just a matter of time before coaches start seeing my highlights and recognize the type of player I am. My coaches tell me that in addition to my athletic abilities, they like the way I lead in the locker room and put in effort in the weight room. One of my biggest assets is my work ethic and how hard I work to get better...people tell me that this mindset "can't be taught!"
Finally, I work extremely hard in the classroom. For example, in 6th grade I was diagnosed with a learning disability. I decided that it wouldn't hold me back and recognized that I just had to work harder than others to be successful. I currently have a 3.8 GPA and my teachers have given me academic awards for my hard work and effort in the classroom.
