Winning a National Championship was a huge highlight for my freshman year. I have been fortunate to play this game I passionately love with a great team of brothers. My sophomore year I experienced an injury that took me out for most of the season, but I returned determined to help my team finish strong. I grew tremendously in my drive to become better at the craft I am passionate about. I have learned the value of brotherhood, teamwork, perseverance, and tenacity!
The first varsity level football game I played in was when I was in 5th grade. It was with less than a minute to play, but it set in motion a passion that drives me today. I had been invited by two former NFL players who had started a football team at a private school to be part of their first Varsity team. I was the only player not in high school. I believe that experience is what grew me to not be intimidated of afraid to face anyone on the football field.
I have discovered I have a lion personality which gives me the drive to move forward regardless of the obstacles I am faced with, but at the same time I have had to learn to be aware of people around me and bring them along with me. I have had many opportunities to be a leader in a variety of settings such as church, missions, and volunteering. I enjoy playing music and my primary instruments are guitar and drums. Spending time with my friends and my sisters are also important to me. I am dedicated to Jesus and serving others through compassion.
I want to continue to be a champion on the field and off the field in my integrity, work ethic, and academics. I endeavor to do what is needed in my role for my team to be successful. I am still looking for that major that stirs my passion and maximizes my gifts, talents, and desires.
