I need to spend some time putting some real thought into my answer, but the short answer is that I love the sport of football, and I'd really like to continue playing at the collegiate level while I'm preparing for my career after college. I've been playing football since the age of 6, and it's just part of my life. I can't image life without it. I love being in the gym and I love being a part of a team and hanging with my boys. I enjoy practices and l always working to make my game better. I consider myself a football player and an athlete actually, I don't identify as a defensive back or an offensive back, i can play anywhere on the football field and make an impact and if some program will put their faith in me and my work ethic and give me a chance to prove what I can do on that field, I promise that school and that coaching staff won't regret bringing me into their program. I don't know if that fact that I'm a multi-sport athlete in high school matters at all, but I would like to say that I have been on my varsity lacrosse team Sophmore-Senior year in the spring the entire time I've been participating in football. It makes it tough to maintain my grades, but again, I love sports, I love athletics and the challenge these sports bring. I love being around my lacrosse teammates almost as much as I love hanging with my football teammates. I'm actually hoping for an outside shot at either being drafted or walking on to an NFL team in 5 years. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it and I know with hard work and if I continue to work my hardest in the gym and with nutrition, I could make it there. If I can come up with a better answer, I'll come back and update this, but thank you for your time if you are reading this.
Sincerely, Austin Uidel
