Colby Cruz '20 Recruiting Profile

I am a Senior at South Forsyth High School (SFHS), and a proud War Eagle, we are currently ranked #1 in receiving yards and I am #11 receiver in the state of Georgia. My experiences have afforded me the ability to play both ways as a Slot|Wide Receiver and DB, taking more than 80 snaps per Varsity game at the 7A level. I’m also on the Varsity Track Team as a sprinter, triple and long jumper.  

I became interested in football at a very early age, my father played Division I at Louisiana State University (LSU 1983-1986).  My Grandfather is a retired Texas HS football Coach and the sport runs deep in my DNA. Football has taught me many things and I embrace competition, it drives me to get better each and every day. I have learned that you must be a student of the game, know your position, know your job and bust your tail to get it done.  Football is not easy.  It takes hard work and discipline.  I have developed a disciplined cadence on and off the field. Faith, school & family first, then football and have fun doing it.  I am honored and blessed to be in a position to take my game to the next level.
