This year my team made it to the playoffs for the first time since 2010. It was not only a great experience but it showed me how close I was with my team. During the game our top offensive linemen got injured and was out in the first drive. We didn't know what to expect later on. We went down 28-7 at half and most people thought the game was over, we came out strong getting an onside kick recovered and later on made the game 22-28 during a scoring drive I got injured and was out for the game. Even though two starters were out the team kept fight. We didn’t get the victory that night but I learned something greater. I learned that you can’t take these games for granted because you only get one chance.
I believe that I am a hard worker, academics is my first priority. I take rigorous classes that really challenge me to be focused in the class. On the football field and in the weight room I work as hard as I can so that next season it will reflect how hard I really worked. This year was my first varsity start and it was incredible. It showed me what the true meaning of friendship was and how the people that you talk to everyday are the same people who with you every Friday night bleeding and sweating with you to get a victory.
I have always dreamed to play a sport in college whether it was soccer or football. It would be an honor to achieve that,I am willing to work as hard as i need to to get that opportunity!
