Personal Statement

15 years old, 6'2, 220 lbs

First, I am God's child. I know with him, after all I have faced at my age, I can conquer more than an average athlete. I want to set a new bar with football. My Mother is an Army combat Veteran with disabilities from war, my deceased biological father, was a US Marine. I am Nigerian, Black, and Filipino Hawaiian. They call me Motor because I will chase the ball down to the end-zone as a def-end and not get tired, or they call me Little Polamalu in Atlanta, GA., because I have hair like him. He’s my fav athlete and I move like him.

My father wanted to pursue football and wanted to build film as a walk on with USC California. But, he had ONE GAME that CHANGED MY LIFE forever. He had a concussion that killed him on the football field. They saved his life on the emergency air flight, but it was too late. He was completely brain-dead, paralyzed, and blind. He didn't make it. So yes, the game killed my dad but now I'm here to kill the game.

People think that issues at home make an athlete weak and they think we aren't focused, but I can say that my drive to make it to the Pros is none like any other. It hurts I can't lie. It does. But, to continue a legacy that my deceased dad couldn't? I have to finish this for him. Football is my outlet. It's my therapy. I love it and I take my dreams seriously. The tears I cried after my 2nd National Championship win, on that field last year, wishing I had a Dad in the stands..  It made me a different creature on the field. I study film day and night. My faith in God is everything.. thats my real strength

I have a recent offer from USC! And now a Bosco athlete! In 12 months and mostly during off season, I went to 14 events/Camps/All American/All Star games, and received *12 MVPs, 2 awards, as of a month ago I am the overall 2027 Gatorade Player of the Year. I have only played 2 full years of football. In those 2 years I have been on 2 different teams, was undefeated on both teams we won State Championship, we won 2 Regional championships both 6th and 7th grade, and won the National Championship both 6th and 7th grade. My Mom is my rock. SHe made sure I didn't miss a beat.

I am not after only being on a great team. I want to win championships with my team. I want to be among the best in the league. I want to inspire my teammates when they are down. It's not just for a scholarship. It's for a platform to make a difference and more, because I want to be an impact in the game and off the field with my spirit, and my supernatural willpower and talents, that my Mom and everyone says I have. No one has seen the tears in our home. No one saw me breakdown everyday in bed. But they saw the power of me not wanting the same pain on anyone else through my fight on the field. I will inspire people one day. My mom always says there should always be one more breath after the whistle is blown. She meant that I should never slow down, I need to give the same energy I give til the end, once the ball is snapped, and that same concept I want to use my entire life.

My story is what keeps me going, my Mom, and my little brothers. I want to stay on top of my class academically and athletically. It's the fight to never be sheep, and normal. I want to set better trends, set the bar high, finessing in the field with my faith, my heart, my hands, and my feet. I just know God has a purpose for me. I'm a movie. I'm a new face but I will be remembered. Mark my word, sir/ma'am, TOP IN THE NATION is my goal.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
