My Freshman season (Although only JV) was probably the biggest character building season to date. We didn’t have enough players to fill a full team so after 2 games and a few injuries, the rest of our season was cancelled. It was a big blow to those of us who love the game and worked hard to prepare. But as they say, Character is built through Adversity, and instead of getting discouraged, I used the abrupt end of the season to get an early start on preparing for the next season, where I had the honor of being selected to the Division and All Hawaii 1st Teams for 2 consecutive seasons.
I understand the importance of having a college level education and how it will benefit me in pursuing a career. Which is why I wake up, eat, train, study, sleep, and repeat. I love the game of football and would love nothing more than to carry on my athletic and academic career at the next level.
