I played football for the first time in 4th grade. I remember being so excited to go to practice and when practice was over I was upset because I always wanted to play. I still am this way. Football has always been the one thing I can never get enough of. I consider football a lifestyle.
My dad took me to the fiesta bowl in 2014. I had been to college games before but nothing was like that feeling. It’s a feeling I’ll never let go. That feeling that I got made me decide right then that I was gonna do everything in my power to play college ball.
Another expirence that strengthened that feeling is winning the Idaho 4A state championship. All the hours me and my teammates had put in, all the times I woke up early in the mornings and didn’t wanna go to practice but did anyway, all the times I turned down unhealthy food, and all the hours we put in the weight room and studying our game plan packets had all accumulated into this one game. It all payed off. It made me realize that there’s a difference between “wanting” and “doing”. I had never been pushed so hard in my life and for it to pay off and to get to where we got is something I will never forget.
