Personal Statement
I'm a 5' 11", 200 lb linebacker, running back and long snapper from Benton, IL. I will be a high school graduate in the class of 2018 and I am the starting inside linebacker, running back and long snapper. I am a team captain, my team's leading tackler and I was selected as a Unanimous 1st Team All-Conference Linebacker as a junior this past season. I finished the season with 78 total tackles, 3 sacks, 6.5 tackles for a loss, 3 forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. I currently bench 290, squat 540 and run a 4.96 forty. I'm an honor roll student.
I want to play college football at the highest possible level and I'm committed to working extremely hard to reach that goal. Coaches tell me that my aggressiveness and physicality set me apart from other athletes my age. In addition, they say I have strong leadership skills on and off the field (I've been a team captain on every team I've played on) and that I'm very coachable. Playing with great technique is extremely important to me so I'm continually working to better my football technique all the time. I always want to be the hardest worker on and off the field. In addition, I hold myself to a high academic standard.
I'm interested in playing for a football program at the highest competition level possible, but also one that balances athletics with academics. I would like to play for a program that will help me achieve my highest potential both athletically and academically. I plan to major in pre-med and pursue a career as a physician.
