Basketball has taught me many valuable things that don’t always come on the court. Basketball has taught me leadership, time management, responsibility, respect, the inevitability of failure, and determination. Without the game of basketball, I would not be who I am today. From making the buzzer beating shot to helping my team win the conference championship to crying when the season ends, basketball means everything to me. I was very honored to have been chosen as Honorable Mention All-State as a freshman; however, in the next three years, my plan is to continue to work hard in order to achieve higher goals. The skills I have been taught have prepared me to be able to compete at the next level. I would like to find a college or university which is the right match for me academically and athletically. Academics are very important in my student-athlete life. I believe I am constantly preparing for this and can impact your program because of my determination, work-ethic, leadership skills, competitiveness and heart.
