My dream has always been to play sports in college. From the time I could walk, I've always kicked a ball around the house and have always loved sports. I've played on numerous teams from baseball to basketball to soccer. It wasn't until I started kicking the football for my high school that I discovered my true passion for football.
I've been the starting varsity kicker for my high school, Tuscola Community High School, since my freshman year. My goal is to carry that on through my college career and to compete at the highest level possible. When I'm on the field getting ready to make a field goal or extra point I'm locked in, focused, and I picture the ball going through the uprights. I put in the hard work to make sure my team succeeds when they need me to come through for them. I'm a very coachable player and lead the younger players by being a good example of what it means to have integrity on and off the field. I love being on the football team because they are all like my brothers. We go through the bad and good together while playing the game we all love. I would do anything for my teammates if they needed help. One of the things I look forward to after school is going to practice with the team because the environment is amazing. I am a very hard worker and willing to do anything to succeed.
I've been very active in lots of other sports throughout my life. I've competed at a very high level for my club soccer team, participated in Little League, played basketball, and ran track. On most days after school, you will find me in the weight room or on the football field kicking. I'm also a member of the SADD and FCA clubs. I've trained with the Kicking Coach in the Chicago area and plan to attend several skills camps this summer. I also work as a lifeguard at the Tuscola Community Pool while on summer breaks.
Academically, I'm a very hard worker and always strive to do my best. I've maintained a good GPA while in High School. Keeping my grades up is very important to me. My goal is to attend a college where I can study business and earn my bachelor's degree. I hope to one day start my own business and contribute to my community. I believe that playing football in college will help me to achieve my goals and to become an even better leader on and off the field.
