I play football, basketball and soccer and a leader for all 3 sports. I will be a football captain this Fall, 2024. I’m the boys' dance captain for my school's show choir program and am a member of National Honor Society. I am also a cadet firefighter on my town's volunteer fire department.
This past football season, in the last 2 playoff games, our starting linebacker got hurt and I was called on to play. During my time in that position, our team made a comeback from 11 points down in the last 4 minutes. I was able to help hold our opponents for two 3 and outs and a fumble that we recovered to set up the winning score. I feel this speaks to my hard work to be ready to be in that position.
Our team made it to the state semifinals and got to play in the UNI Dome. This was the experience that made me want to be a collegiate football player. Our team put up a good fight, battling to the end, but we fell short. Our team had a never give up attitude and that’s what you need in life to succeed, whether that’s for a job, relationship, or athletics.
