Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Trenton Davies and I LOVE football. I have been playing football in some way since I was old enough to know what it was. I am a 4-sport athlete and am also involved in FFA (Future Farmers of America).  I have learned how to put in hard work to get where you want to be through my great role models, my parents, former teammates and coaches. I have learned how much each sport helps the others.  Wrestling improves footwork and balance. Track and baseball help with hip movement and explosiveness.  Being in the weight room has helped gain confidence in all of my sports and has helped in everything I do.  I love to help the younger kids coming up through the sports and teach them all I have learned from the ones ahead of me. Nothing is an individual, everything is a team and I live by that as we have to help one another to achieve our goals.

I work hard in school as it helps with everything in life in some way.  I have tried to align my classes towards my future dreams so that I can take advantage of every minute that is available. I would like to attend college for Ag Business or Natural Resources and wildlife management as I am passionate about farming and nature.

I am a member of the 2025 graduating class, and this fall I will be starting my third year on the varsity team. I have been very blessed in my high school career so far with 25 O-line starts in my first two years. I was the first freshman ever to start at Williamsburg on the offensive line and was fortunate enough to play in the state semifinal in 2A my freshman year. As a sophomore I earned 1st team all-district, and we made it all the way to the championship game but fell short.

Falling short in the title game has been my primary motivation in all of my training sessions since that day. I know I need to do my part to help my teammates and myself achieve our goals no matter how big or small. I hope to use that same drive to excel during my next two years and hopefully allow me to play football at the next level.
