Charles Hammond '24 Recruiting Profile

Football has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Whether it was watching football with my dad, playing for an organized team, or playing in the backyard with my brother and cousin. Missing an entire year of football because of COVID had a large impact on me, but the largest impact from that year was seeing my brother miss his senior season.

Seeing this opportunity taken away from my brother has taught me to value every chance that I have to play football. I understand that these chances are never guaranteed which is why I strive to be the best I can be on the field.

I believe that success on the field is closely related to success in the classroom. As a student, I study very hard to ensure I understand each lesson, which has allowed me to achieve a 4.625 GPA. I take the same approach when studying film and receiving constructive feedback from my coaches. I use what I learn to prepare for games and I am always looking for ways to improve. I look forward to continuing to grow as a student and an athlete in college.
