Diezel Duckett '24 Recruiting Profile

Sports have been with me since I was old enough to throw a ball. I started taking Jiu-Jitsu, Karate, Gymnastics, Basketball, and Soccer at the early age of three.  When I started playing tackle football in the third grade, I didn't realize how much of a big factor I was on the field, but as I got older I grew to love football and dedicated my time to the sport. Every time I am on the field or working out with my trainer, I push myself beyond my limits and give my best effort each and every game. 

I am a great leader on and off the field who works hard to motivate my friends and teammates to be the best. Also, I'm a great team player and I will do whatever it takes to be successful. My presence on the field is the same dedication I have in the classroom, which is why I earn excellent grades and maintain a high GPA. I am also green-verified in the Lead Em Up team-building program for being a positive leader. 

My active role in the community is another reason that makes me the best recruit. I am active with Best Buddies where each year I work to raise money and participate in the annual walk for special needs students. I have been involved in the Minority Scholars Program since sixth grade and we meet monthly to discuss ways to dismantle the opportunity gap for minority students in my county. In these roles, I have earned over 140 student service learning hours prior to entering high school, and I will continue the work I am doing in the community throughout high school.

I would like to attend a college that will allow me to live out my dreams and also give me the chance to pursue a degree in my field of study. Competing at the college level will give me an opportunity to fulfill those dreams. I am the best recruit to play at the collegiate level and any coach would benefit from my leadership, personality, determination, and optimistic skillset.
