Personal Statement
Being able to sit down and introduce myself as an eager High School athlete looking forward to playing college football and meeting college coaches is an exciting goal I plan to accomplish. Sports have always been my passion from a young age. I was fortunate to play every sport growing up and knew in the third grade my most passionate sport was football.
Academics were not a priority to me growing up, football was. Because of this I was enrolled in a small private school with the hopes I would improve academically. At this time I was fortunate to play HS football as a seventh grader. I learned then what it meant to make a commitment, be a teammate, work hard and accept criticism. I soon realized you have to work just as hard off the field as you do on the field, this is why I strive to make honor roll each semester.
2020 has been a difficult year and although I wont be playing football in the fall due to the pandemic I hope to prove my passion and determination in the wedge season. I have turned my disappointment into determination. I work out five days a week, I eat healthy, I meet with a trainer and I am focused. I will be an asset to any football team I play for as I am dedicated, determined and coachable. As of now my interest in a major is engineering.
