As a junior at Brighton High School, I was named as captain of the Brighton High School Varsity team and played some as a starting middle linebacker or defense end as well as continuing to start on offense as a running back for every game. During our 10 games this season I scored 6 times and averaged 6.0 years per carry on 125 carries. My coached named me as the team's Offensive MVP.
Last year as a sophomore, I had the opportunity to play starting fullback for our winning season (9-2). During our 11 games I scored 3 times and averaged 5.7 yards per carry on 48 carries and averaged 7.1 yards per reception on 14 catches. I was honored to be one of the select few sophomore players to be pulled-up to a starting position on the Varsity team. I earned the Rookie of the Year award and was recognized with an Honorable Mention for the All County Team.
My coaches often call upon me to be a leader for my peers. I take this responsibility very seriously; recognize the weight this role carries and I embrace the responsibility. I am a driven, honest, hardworking, respectful, skilled, smart athlete. I am determined to be the best I can be and I see that my focus motivates my teammates around me.
I am working hard in the off-season in the weight room to build additional mass and muscle to compete at the next level. I work with a nutritionist to build bulk in the most healthy and responsible way possible. High school lacrosse has been my off-season competitive sport. Additionally, my football skills are continually improving through 7-on-7 club teams.
My goals are to continue as a varsity starter and captain during my Senior year, and then continue on to play college football while pursuing a degree that prepares me for a career in education or possibly athletic training. I continue to prepare my mind and body to be the best football player I can possibly be so I can make a positive impact on my teams.
