Personal Statement

Studying chess and competing nationally from an early age has provided me a strategic advantage on the football field. I am able to anticipate the action before it develops. I can imagine my teammates in the formation, their movement in the play, and the next blocks to make. This vision lets me lead the offensive line to the best blocking schemes possible. Football is my passion.

In the off season, I am a starter on my high school varsity wrestling team, I play AAU basketball, and I train to improve the skills I need for football. Whatever the sport, I know the value of coaching and the importance of putting it into practice to become better for the team. Many have described me as "very coachable". I take this compliment with pride. I would like to bring my football intelligence and work ethic to the next level.

We build athletes by first creating a foundation consisting of joint mobility and muscle flexibility that are important in establishing proper movement patterns. After the movement patterns are established, we turn our attention to building strength using science based progressive resistance training techniques. With the ability to move in check, and adequate strength levels developed we turn our attention to focusing on improving explosive power and subsequent speed and quickness. We do this by combining plyometrics with agility and speed training. These techniques result in the ability to effectively decelerate, accelerate, and change direction with speed and control, putting our athletes in a position to not only continue to better their best, but to stay healthy and on the field.
