Shane Wingate '20 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'2" 220 Sr.  I consider myself a dual threat QB who loves competition.  I have also played and been a starter on my highschool basketball team and travel teams for the last 7 years. I have played the QB position since 6th grade. I started at  QB for Hartfield Academy as a sophomore and Junior.   I have run the double wing veer off as well as the spread. I am really excited about the new spread system and all the opportunities it will allow me as a QB.  I hope to play at the next level and currently am working each day to prepare myself for that challenge. I attended multiple JR/SR camps this summer and see a QB coach weekly. I have been around football my entire life since my dad has been a football coach for over 20 years. I consider myself to have a very high IQ in football and truly love the game. I take leadership very seriously and know the position of QB is looked at very carefully because of the importance of this position. I hope to get a chance to prove my worth as a College QB and fulfill my dreams to play on Saturdays. I transferred with my father to  Richland High School which is a  4A public school in Richland, Ms to play my senior year.
