Trey Wegner '17 Recruiting Profile

Making the starting role as a sophomore for the Stone High Tomcats and leading the team in tackles has been the highlight of my first varsity football year.  Moreover, as a sophomore, I was selected as All-Division 5A Region VII.  As a junior, I led the team in tackles again and was voted All Division MVP LB in 5A Region VII.  Our team experienced both success and adversity throughout the season.  I have focused on getting bigger, faster and stronger during the off season.  I am also a five time South State Champion in tennis.  I mention this because of the skills, foot work and pressure situations that I experience on the tennis court.  

I am looking for a college that I can make an impact as a football player and that will meet my academic and career goals.  Education is the key to success on both the field and classroom.  I believe I have the tools both physically and mentally to play football after high school.  Over the next two years, I will continue to build on the foundation that has been laid for me.  I hope to be a student-athlete and leader on your team!
