Colton Gottman '16 Recruiting Profile

I am an only child that was raised in a goal oriented family.  I was taught at a young age that success comes from hard work and determination.  I am a Christian by faith and I strongly believe that we all have a purpose in life.  I have been playing tackle football since I was in second grade.  I have always enjoyed being a part of a team and to me football is the ultimate team sport.  It has never been about me and my accomplishments.  It has been about doing whatever makes the team successful.

Football has taught me that I can do anything I put my mind to.  It has shown me that hard work does pay off.  I have always prided myself in being coachable and doing what is best for the team.  I consider myself a leader and I am looked upon by others as a leader.

I have worked hard academically the last three years of high school and plan to continue to do so my senior year.  I currently have a 3.65 cumulative GPA and understand the importance of finishing my high school career strong.  In college I hope to find a school that will challenge me academically and provide me with the education I need to have a successful career in the future. 

I am going to give you 110% on the field and in the classroom.  I have never struggled with making the right choice.  I consider myself to have good character, good judgement and a strong desire to be successful.  I believe if you were to ask any of my coaches or intructors about me, they would agree.
