2017 KC Kicking /...Personal Statement
I’ve worked extremely hard at becoming the best student athlete that I can be. I have spent hundreds of hours working on my academics and my kicking, but I still feel that I have a lot upside potential in both areas. I continue to get better every year and am excited about what is yet to come. I envision my college years as the time for that personal growth. My goal is to graduate into a field that I have passion for and to then move on to graduate school from there. As I grow both mentally and physically while in college, I will work towards being an asset to your teams’ special teams group. It will be an honor to call myself a student athlete and I will conduct myself with dignity and respect on and off the field.

- Grant performed very will at the Kohl's camp in Kansas City (Smithville HS) in May. He was a top performer and earned a spot at the Kohl's National Scholarship Camp in July 2018.

- Grant recently competed at the 2017 CPS and put together one of the best field goal charts of all competitors at all class levels. He finished the preliminary round in 2nd place out of 60 competitors and ended up placing 5th overall. He almost went a perfect 8 for 8 but simply hit his last ball off the cross bar from 50 yards out. He also showed one of the stronger legs in his class by putting up good numbers at kickoff. His best ball was a 3.51 second hang and 60 yd distance.
