Personal Statement

My collegiate goals include playing football at the college level (Division 3) and learning as much as I possibly can about the business and coaching aspects of the sports world.  I have loved learning about and studying sports teams, players, and statistics.  I have especially excelled at playing varsity football at Haddonfield Memorial High School.  I have spent the last four years practicing, lifting, and living for the game of football.  I am the first player at practice, and I am the last one to leave.

During my time on the Haddonfield Football Team, I have been willing to play any position, at any level.  I have used every opportunity to play and improve my skills and help move my team forward.  While playing football, in October of my junior year, I broke my femur.  After having surgery and getting screws placed in my knee, I recovered, rehabilitated,  became stronger.  I have made it my personal goal to become better, stronger, and more agile.  Since that time, I have been able to return to the sport that I love, lift more than ever before, and become a varsity starter with the NJSIAA (New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association) Group 2 South/Central Regional Championship Team.

I have so much gratitude for the coaches and staff at Haddonfield Memorial High School.  It is my hope to one day coach at the high school, college, or national level so that I can share my experience with others.  I see football as a way of life and an opportunity to build communities and families.  It has helped me find my purpose in education and our community.  Football has helped me find my way in the world and become a stronger, kinder, and more positive person.  I hope to help spread that positive thinking in my adult life.  Playing at the college level is my next step, and I will do anything to make that dream come true.
