I was a two sport athlete, those sports being basketball and football. I can honestly say that these sports have changed my life. I was a bit of a late bloomer, only really playing any form of sports to entertain myself. It wasn't until high school that I truly understood what athletic competition represented. I found a love for something that is much greater than just myself. I found families, lifelong friends, and I discovered the fire of competition that had laid dormant within me for many years. I learned how to persevere, push through seemingly impossible barriers, and I learned how to become a better person than I was. Most of all, I learned how to never settle. I will always work as hard as I can to get better, and I am never satisfied. l now owe so many parts of my life to football, and I am willing to dedicate as many more years as it takes to become the best I possibly can.
