Olli Paasonen '20 Recruiting Profile

My goal for my college career is to improve myself academically as well as athletically while creating long term relationships with amazing new people. What makes me a great candidate is my ability to adapt to new environments as I’ve lived in three different countries over the course of my life. This has taught me how to deal with diversity, which I view as an essential part of my character. Although I’ve always had a great passion for a variety of sports, I’ve always prioritized excelling in the classroom environment. Also, I pursue myself daily to lead my peers and teammates by example, which is something I view as a critical aspect of being a great leader. Although I’ve always enjoyed my individual achievements, accomplishing something together with my teammates is what I truly play for as I embrace the idea of playing for the guy standing next to me.
