Doug Travis '23 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals and aspirations is to be part of a football program where my contributions will lead the team to a successful season and to begin my education toward becoming a Physical Education Teacher.  I am an individual who does not shy away from hard work and who has a clear understanding that it takes a team to win and that I have to do my part in order for us to be successful.  My statue contributes to my success at the positions I played (RT, DT and DE), however, size is only part of it.  Putting in the hard work by watching the opposing teams film, hitting the weights and staying healthy will contribute to my success.  My mom wrote down this motto "the only failure is quitting - everything else is just gathering information" on our family calendar and its something that motivates me and my two older brothers.  It tells us to not to be afraid to try different things and to never never give up.
