Personal Statement
My name is Jackson Hammel and needless to say, I love football. I would like to use my desire and ability to play the game, to achieve another goal of mine, graduating from college. Life is all about balance which means if you work hard at school, you can play the game hard. One of the things I've learned is how to lead through example. In order for someone to expect dedication from their team, they have to first show their dedication through hard work. Also, I am open to criticism and accept direction well. One of my favorite compliments is that I am very coachable. Learning from others, and using that to improve upon myself, is another way to show people you work with respect, while gaining ability through knowledge. I will work hard, and to the best of my ability, always.
2020 has brought a few changes my way and I welcome the new opportunities. I am most excited about playing my senior year as a running back and back up quarterback for Westerville North H.S. I've learned a lot from my speed and agility training and I'm excited to showcase my new skill set. If there is anything I've learned from this last year it's how important it is to be adaptable in order to be successful.
