Hello and thank you for taking time to look over my profile. I am Gabe Johnson a student athlete from South Salem High School in Oregon. I am currently taking honors classes and am also enrolled in IB classes. I am currently working on retaking two classes I had problems with my sophomore year. It is tough but my focus to improve these classes will change my accumulative GPA to over 3.60. I have high aspirations to succeed beyond a BA degree and have not decided on a field of study. My mom has a masters in nursing and is now a director within a hospital system here in Salem. My dad has a masters degree in Special Education and has athletics administration experience up to the collegiate level. So, I guess its in my blood to succeed in academics.
I really like to compete. I have been playing football and baseball ever since 3rd grade. I have played high school basketball and ran track. I also am a pretty good trumpet player. I have learned to make the most of every opportunity to succeed. I have found that there is a lot to learn about the future through winning or not winning. Winning will always be my goal as I test the limits of my personal abilities.
I guess I have learned some of this from my dad. He is an Olympic Medalist in the decathlon and has taught me to always expect to get a return from hard work.
Thanks again for your time.
Gabe Johnson
