Matthew Roth '19 Recruiting Profile

Since I was 10 years old, I wanted to play football.  I love the game! I make it a priority to train off season almost every day.  When I am training, I am either working on strength, skill, or technique.  I am currently part of the AirOne 7x7 football team in the Vancouver/Portland area.  I understand the importance of behavior on and off the field.  I believe I am a good role model and leader to my team.  I am not afraid of hard work, and I understand that you need to put in the time and commitment to improve.

I am improving academically.  My high school career started a bit rocky with grades, but I am committed to making improvements.  You will see in my high school transcripts that my grades have improved throughout my high school career, and my GPA is higher that it has been in the past.  My expectation is that I will continue to improve, and my GPA will reflect this goal.

While I am still undecided about my career goals after high school, I know that I’d like to work outdoors.  I am considering careers in Fire Science,  Wildlife Management, Police Officer,  Agriculture and Military. 

I am confident that I am a great candidate for your team.  I have a great work ethic.  I understand what it takes to be part of a team.  I am strong, willing to put in the work and dedication it takes to be successful.
