Personal Statement

My Name is Shikease Jackson, but most people call me Shaq. I am a 2014 graduate of West Florence High School in Florence Sc. I am now a Freshman at Louisburg College ( Juco) in Louisburg NC. In High school my senior Year playing on the DL I made All Region, All State, the All Zoned team, and SC Top 100 senior prospect in 2013. I finished my senior year with 71 tackles 6 sacks and 17 tackles for a loss. I am now a student athlete here at Louisburg College (Juco) and a member of the football team. I started all 10 games as a freshman playing DE on the left side and played NG sparingly at times but mostly DE. I've tied the school record for QB sacks in a game with 5 Sacks against North Carolina Wesleyan College in which I've earned honors of being defensive player of the week for that week. My sack total for the season is 10 along with 25 plus tackles. Right now I really don't know the exact amount of tackles I've made this season but I know it's in the range of 25-30 or maybe a little more but my sack total is accurate. I came to Louisburg College to Develop Academically and Athletically so that I can better my chance of getting into a good D1 or D2 school. Right now I am maintaining a GPA of a 3.09 and I am looking to reach my goal to graduate next December with my Associates Degree. I am fulfilling my Dreams of playing college football but this school is my beginning point. I am striving to reach my Goal of playing on a Major D1 or D2 college after I leave Louisburg College. I think God for the opportunity that I have before me now and that is to be a college student and to participate in athletics. I am very motivated to achieve my goals and I will reach them through hard work and perseverance. I am hoping that someone will give me a chance to show them what I can do for their institution and how I can be a big contributer. I am a hard worker, I am committed and loyal at what I do and will make a difference to wherever I may play football when I leave here. I am now 6ft1 around 250lbs compared to 5ft11 and 225 when I graduated from high school in the Class of 2014. I now bench press 435 and run 4.7 in the 40. I am pushing hard and working out to get to 4.5 before my sophomore year. Hopefully I will hear from you soon and looking for an opportunity to play somewhere when I am done here. My favorite scripture in the bible says through Christ All things are possible and I am a believer of that! Thanks and God Bless.
