Jack Herrington '21 Recruiting Profile

Sports have always been an outlet and joy for me.  I want to actively pursue sports at the college level, whether football, basketball, or track.  I enjoy every aspect of being part of team, working hard to achieve a common goal.  I am often put in leadership roles on my teams and I have seen myself grow as I encourage my teammates to push harder as well as younger students to not give up when the outcome is not as they expected.  My parents have taught me from an early age to respect all authority in my life, no matter what my personal feelings might be.  I have great respect for the coaches that give so much of their personal time to train and teach me. I feel this respectful attitude will be a great asset to a team at the collegiate level in a time when people seem to being loosing respect for others.  

I attend Coram Deo Academy, a private school in Flower Mound, Texas. This classical university model curriculum is extremely rigorous and requires me to work hard after practice to complete my assignments and study.  I finished my sophomore year with a 3.7 GPA and received the Cum Laude award for student excellence. I have learned to balance school and sports that I know will help me at the collegiate level.
