2023 HighlightsPersonal Statement
My name is Sam Hofley and I am a freshman at Coram Deo Academy, a private school in Flower Mound, TX. In school, I love to learn about world history and to explore art. I hope to go to a D1 college and pursue water polo even farther and a career in art or astronomy. I have been playing the sport for about 4 years and was a competitive swimmer beforehand. My love and passion for water polo have only grown over time. In 2021, I first made the Development National Team and then made the Cadet Team, and am currently on the Youth National Team. Originally I was an attacker and guard, then trained as a center and I am working towards being able to use my left hand as well. My goal is to be the ultimate utility player, though my favorite position is center. I love stepping up to be a leader and guiding our team to success. I am a hard worker and will do whatever is necessary to achieve my goal. Whether it's in a game, studying for a test, or creating a new art piece, I try to always put my best effort into everything I do.
