Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Caleb Marlar.  I am a senior at New Braunfels High School in New Braunfels, TX.  I am 6'1" and weigh 160 lbs. This year I started at the WR position and kick off return. I WAS NAMED ACADEMIC ALL DISTRICT AND 2ND TEAM ALL DISTRICT FOR WIDE RECEIVERS AND FIRST TEAM ALL COUNTY. I LED THE DISTRICT IN CATCHES AND RECEIVING YARDS . I HAD A TOTAL OF 1,093 ALL PURPOSE YARDS THIS YEAR. I recently attended a National Underclassmen Combine and won the fastest 40 time award and the fastest shuttle time award and was invited to the NUC Ultimate 100 Camp, named on the All Combine Team, a Combine MVP and a Combine Top Performer. I was also named "a player to watch for 2011 and 2012" in Dave Campbell's Texas High School Football Magazine.  I am committed, a hardworker and a team player.  I am in the gym working out and on the field practicing before and after school every day.  During the off season I play on a 7v7 team, attend camps and combines so I can keep improving my skill level.  In my High School football career, I have played defense, offense and on special teams.  I believe I am a very coachable and versatile player with a lot of natural athletic ability.  I also run track and have been on the varsity team since my freshman year.  My athletic goal is be a part of a team that is competitive,  has a good team environment and will support me as a student athlete.
