Personal Statement
I love to compete. I love being part of a winning team. I am a defensive leader for our 6A football team. I’ve been a key contributor on two district football championship teams in four years. I am a State of Texas Junior Olympian in the 100m, 200m, 4x100, and Javelin. I earned the bronze medal in the Javelin at the AAU West Coast Nationals. As a sophomore I was the district gold medalist in the 200m relay. As a freshman I was the district silver medalist in the 100m and 200m relay events. I was part of the 15 year old State of Texas baseball tournament 2nd place team. It was great to excel but what drives me is winning. I’ve grown the most as a student and athlete when I fall short. I learn and refocus on new goals to improve. All I want to do is get better. When I’m not winning or competing I am working to get better. I train year-round to improve my strength, agility, and speed.
I believe I have the talent to compete at the college level in football and track while I study to become a Veterinarian. I’ll play baseball too if I can. I’ve learned the value of teamwork, commitment, leadership, and focus. They are equally important to both academics and athletics. As a student athlete, I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for my goals and the university. As a multisport athlete I believe I have the talent to compete for a college team. My character, work-ethic, and leadership skills make me someone who will help impact a program. I am confident that I can be a winning student athlete on your team.
