Sports have played a significant impact in my life. I participate in sports year-round including, football, baseball and basketball since the age of five. My passion is Football. Everything I do is devoted to becoming a better player, in the classroom, on the field and in the off season. I maintain an A average in all my advanced classes, giving me 4.2 GPA. In the off season I train every day at Total Training, Inc. with Bob Blanton, follow a structured program of weight training, organized linear and lateral speed development, foot speed and agility. I always STRIVE to be better, better than myself every day. My biggest dream is to play college football. I am willing to explore all opportunities and options to do so. I know that if I want to play Division 1 football I am going to have to work harder, play smarter, and continue to play until the whistle blows for every play. I won't stop working until I reach my goals and when I do, I will continue to work harder to go further everyday.
Sports have had a great impact in shaping my life. Every day I find the lessons and discipline I have learned give me a competitive edge on what life will throw at me. Every game I play is a new challenge that I have to face and accomplish. The more I practice the better I will become and all the hard work pays off in a victorious game.
Playing a sport that has a numerous amount of varying factors to determine a victory has taught me resiliency. Sometimes I might not always win a game or sack the quarterback but the good sportsmanship and ethics that I have learned have taught me never to be discouraged.
Sports has taught me teamwork, leadership, honesty, responsibility, patience, self-confidence, persistence, sportsmanship, respect and communication. Teamwork, I have learned to trust a teammate to get their job done, on the other hand it helped me to learn personal responsibility and realize others count on me to get a job done.
On the field I fulfill the position of offensive guard, center and defensive tackle. I continue to improve and grow each and every day my feet hit the field. I look forward to the opportunity to explore new options in a higher level of play.
