Amani Woods '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a hardworking and dedicated young man who is determined to meet realistic goals that I set for myself. I am always willing to put in the extra effort needed in tackling new skills and improving the existing skills that I have. I am a very respectful young man who is eager to listen and learn from others. I also enjoy studying my film to see what improvements I can make to my game. I am a very coachable, hardworking student-athlete who is usually the first one on the field and the last one off the field for drills during practice. I continue to work with trainers outside of school to increase my techniques, skills, and explosiveness as a running back cornerback, and returner.  My work ethic has allowed me to be selected as 1st team All-State running back and 2nd team All-State Athlete for the past 2 seasons as well as 2nd team all Central Virginia running back sophomore season and 1st team all Central Virginia running back junior season.

I attend St. Anne's Belfield School in Charlottesville, Virginia, which has high academic standards. It is my hope that attending this school will better prepare me to study Criminal Justice in college. My GPA is currently around a 3.0/4.0, as our school only reports final grades at the end of the school year.  I am working continuously to improve my GPA, which will open more doors for my future. My goal is to attend a college or university where I can pursue a career in Criminal Justice while continuing to play the game I love.
