Personal Statement
My name is James Wade and I am a 6’2” 272 lb center and 4 star long snapper. As a sophomore I was the center of the JV football team and the long snapper for Varsity and our team made it to the second round of the playoffs. Junior year I am the starting center of the Varsity team and the long snapper and we are 10-0 currently ranked 4th in the state of Virginia for 3A and tied for 2nd in our Region. Beginning football in 3rd grade served as a channel for all my energy and helped with my studies and many other aspects of my life. Even with the variety of coaches I’ve had, the key aspects of the game are always needed; discipline, respect, passion and teamwork. These game winning components I have been able to carry into other areas of my life. I travel all over the world and bring with me those components learned on the field. My hobbies include computers and gaming and am currently taking tech school classes in addition to my high school classes so that I will be a certified Cisco Networking and Cyber Security. It isn’t easy doing both of these classes at the same time all the while overcoming and pushing through my reading disability. I train for football year round with hard work and determination and apply the skills I learn from my coaches and trainers to be successful on the field, in school and in life.
