Personal Statement
Going into my 9th grade season I broke my elbow in the pre season scrimmages, putting me out for the whole season and limiting me on what I could do in the weight room for the rest of the year. I'm very proud of how I was able to put in the extra work to be able to secure my starting spot for my sophomore season. My highlight of my highschool career, having only played one season, was beating our rival team in a very close game to be the league champs.
Playing sports and being apart of a team has taught me how to be a leader. I believe in a "we before me" attitude because selfish players are bad teammates and bad teammates make bad teams. I genuinely care about my teammates and want our team to succeed. And that is why, going into my junior season I am a team captain. As a leader I try to set a good example on and off the field. In class I always do my best to get the best grades possible. And on the field or in the weight room I push my teammates and myself to be the best they can be.
