I currently attend Eastmont High School in the center of Washington State and am a multi-sport athlete carrying a 4.0 GPA. I am working to gain exposure in the sport of baseball to make my lifelong dream of playing at the college level a reality. I also play for Crew Athletics, a top tier travel team from Spokane, Washington. Through these team experiences, I have learned how to adapt to playing with various teammates and supporting each other through wins and losses. I have also learned that every pitch is a new opportunity to be successful. My coaches and teammates tell me my best characteristic is my perseverance. I am willing to work as hard and as much as it takes in order to achieve my goals.
I am also a multi-sport athlete starting at running back on the Eastmont High School football team. The football program promotes team bonding, leadership, and dedication. This year, every player on the team selected words that best describe themselves. My word was accountability. I not only hold others accountable but hold myself accountable in order to make the team more successful. The best example of this is my dedication in making every off-season weight room session this summer, while also balancing a full schedule of work and sports.
As part of high school athletics, I voluntarily take leadership classes once a month. Through these classes, I have learned how to set goals and bring others along with me to achieve success. Leadership is another characteristic that I possess that helps me be successful. I am very proud to have a perfect attendance record for these meetings.
While athletics is a significant portion of my life, academics is equally if not more important. Throughout my first three years of high school, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA while taking many honors classes. I have also already earned college credit through college in the classroom. I have taken the SAT a year early in order to prepare and familiarize myself with the test. I am currently ranked first in my grade even with a very busy schedule.
In the past summers I have kept a job while attending baseball tournaments, football practices, and weight room sessions. This past summer I obtained a summer internship at an engineering firm (RH2 Engineering). I have gained exposure of the engineering profession and intend to pursue an engineering degree in college.
My goal is to further my education while also pursuing my lifelong dream of playing college baseball.
