Personal Statement
Currently, I am 17 years old and a senior at Monticello High Schoool in Monticello, WI. I'm 6' 0" tall and weigh 210 lbs. This season I started for the New Glarus-Monticello varsity football team at MLB, LG, Long Snapper, and I played a few snaps on the D-line. Our record my Senior season was 6-3. I led the team in total tackles with 94. The Capital South Conference coaches voted me 1st Team All-Conference MLB and 1st Team All-Conference LG.
I bench 300 lbs, hang clean 230 lbs and squat 440 lbs. My 40 yard dash is 4.87 seconds, my pro-agility is 4.50 seconds, and my vertical is 28 inches. I led the team in strength and conditioning hours each of the past four years.
As a Junior I started at MLB, Center, Long Snapper and played all special teams. I was 2nd team All-Conference at MLB my junior year. I led the team in tackles with 70 in 8 games played.
My Sophomore year I started at Center, Long Snapper and I was the 12th man on defense which I played MLB, OLB, DT, and DE. Our record my sophmore years was 8-3 . I was also a starter on the kick-off return team and kick-off coverage team.
My Freshman Year, I started on the Junior Varsity team at MLB, Offensive Guard and Long Snapper. The second half of my Freshman season, I played Fullback on the Junior Varsity team and I was the backup Fullback for the Varsity team. Our Varisty team record my Freshmen years was 7-3 and we finished tied for Conference Champs.
I also play Basketball and baseball. I was a starting forward on the varsity basketball as a junior and our record was 16-9. I have started on the baseball team as a sophomore and junior. I was 1st team All-Conference Infielder as a junior. As a junior, I led the baseball team in batting average, stolen bases, and hit by pitches.
Academically, I have been on honor roll the last four semesters and I am on pace to be on the honor roll for the current semester. My current high school cumulative GPA is 2.96. For the first quarter of my senior year, my GPA was 3.28. My preference would be to attend a school in the Midwest. I have no preference of the size or ethnic diversity of a school. Currently, I am interested in a Exercise Science, Physical Therapy, Biology or Athletic Training major. My goal is to recieve offers from D1, D2 or D3 level.
I am confident that I will be a great addition to a four year univeristy as a Student-Athlete.
