Roman Friederick '24 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6’1” fullback, middle linebacker, and kicker for Potosi High School. I have played varsity since my freshman year of high school. I always try to be a leader for my team. When I wasn’t in the game I would be yelling/cheering, getting my friends to pay attention to the game and yell with me. I have always tried my hardest to cheer on my teammates, especially my line. I know that the people who play the line may not get as much attention by fans or in the newspaper as someone who runs, throws or catches the ball, but I know that they are the most important players. If they don’t do their job then no one can.

My dad owns his own excavation business in Potosi. With him owning his own business and being successful at it he has taught me a lot of important things. I have been taught hard work my whole life, to have passion in what you do, to do the right thing all the time and don't cut corners. No doubt it hasn’t been easy working during the summer while my friends are out having fun,or waking up at 6 in the morning to go workout before work. It can be exhausting getting home at 6 o'clock at night about every night. This has taught me things that my generation may be missing, people who are willing to work hard for what they want. I may not be the fastest, biggest, or strongest, but I can tell you one thing: no one will outwork me when I put my mind to something. I am a very determined person and my refusal to be outworked make me an asset to any college football program. Thank you for taking the time to read this and viewing my profile.
