Personal Statement
I love basketball. It’s my life. My goal is to play at a D1 school. I wrote down my goals on a post-it and put it on my bathroom mirror when I was 11 years old and each year I feel closer to my dream. I have been taking advantage of the quarantine by working out and practicing several times a day so that I can improve, get stronger, and get your attention. Getting a 4.0 is also on the post-it on my mirror. I’m working on that goal too. I would be an asset to any team because of my passion for the game and my drive to get better.
I would be an asset to any school because I am a good role model. Because of my dad’s job as a radio personality, my family is in the public eye, and my whole life I’ve had to represent our family, knowing we were being watched. This is what it means to be part of a team. My parents take that responsibility very seriously and as a family, we have always given back to our community. When I’m not playing ball, I’m helping with our family run dog rescue or volunteering at a food bank. I plan on continuing on that path wherever I go to school.
I am focused, willing to sacrifice, work hard and won’t stop until I make my dreams come true.
