Personal Statement
Besides family, basketball is the one constant thing in my life. I was a high school freshman Varsity starter playing the point guard, 2020 WCAL All-League team, and was a 2020 CCS Freshman of the Year Finalist with WCAL, one of the toughest conference in the state of California. I am currently ranked #3 point guard in Norcal and #15 overall player by Prep Hoops.
My obsession with the game has opened doors for me, but it’s also made me realize how competitive it is. My dream is to play professional basketball and to get paid doing something I love would be a dream come true. Throughout my journey, I’ve made plenty of mistakes, learned to make my own decisions, live with the consequences of my decisions, and learned that people will sometimes be different than what you originally thought. The most important thing I’ve learned playing this sport is to stay true to your beliefs and that family is the most important thing.
I am resilient. The more you doubt my abilities, the harder I try to prove you wrong. I am physically and mentally capable of doing anything I put my mind to. Basketball has taught me that when you are motivated in your heart, giving it your all is the easiest thing to do. My passion comes from within and with my focus and determination, my possibilities are endless.
