Personal Statement
On the court I am a leader and I like to communicate and talk it up. I have a very good basketball IQ and I can see and spread the court very well. I started my basketball career just 5 years ago. Freshman year I made it onto c-team, and sophomore year, I skipped over the sophomore team and made it onto JV and swinging varsity. I was the only sophomore on JV and along with that, I was a starter. Now, this being my junior year, I made varsity and I was a starter. My college goals are to be able to push myself to my absolute best abilities and play at that next level. My aspiration is to be able to play and affect the game at the collegiate level.
I feel I would be a good candidate for your team because I am very dedicated. I hardly ever miss practices, and the ones I do miss, I let my coach know ahead of time. Some things that make me different from the other recruits, is that I am in advanced weighted classes (IB) and I have a high GPA. I have been on honor roll both years and I look to continue that.
I have an open mind to all colleges but I want it to be where I am challenged and forced to keep improving. Overall I want to make my parents proud along with the rest of my family all while playing the sport I love.
